Rain gracefully brushed the sky in its slow creep over the hillside. Above my head the canvas tarp sang the punctilious rhythm of little watery feet dancing a watery jig. All became wet. Then all became wind. Fierce as a gaping lizard, the winsome torrent tore at the stakes which married the tent to the earth. Latched like a long-tooth tiger, I and my cherished painting apparel hugged the ground dear in a tense effort not to fly tumbling into the murky sky. After the darkness chose to egress, the soft flat underside of the receding nimbus laughed lightly at the beaten grasses and birds and artists.
