This is the view from
the apartment we lived in while in this town. We have since set up a new home north
of Ruston from where I set out during the week to paint. although I anticipate doing
wonderful figurative and progressive works when the studio becomes functional, it is
indeed fortunate to always have the land to fall back upon. It never ceases to be a
richly expressive subject for painting, and one cannot beat the atmosphere.
